North Shore-based Pure Athletic sportswear have added a Baseball New Zealand collection to their growing range of merchandise following the lead of the Auckland Tuatara and provide a unique apparel service for fans of the sport in this country.
The Tuatara merchandise has been selling well both online and at the stand in the concourse at Tuatara Park in the opening rounds of the Australian Baseball League.
Pure Athletic has begun with a small range of hoodies, tees, polos and playing shirts and this will be boosted with the addition of caps and other items over the next month or so.

Once added to, there will be a huge range of supporters’ gear that will cater for all types of fans both men and women.
From this weekend, Pure will be selling the Baseball NZ range within the concourse at North Harbour Stadium during home games this season while fans will be able to order anytime via the online shop.
“We think this will be a big hit with fans this season,” Baseball New Zealand Chief Executive John Fellet said. “Chris and the team at Pure Athletic have done a fantastic job with the new designs. We are delighted to be working with a local North Shore-based company and we know fans will love the extensive supporters’ range that Pure Athletic have created and the range is very affordable – something that was important for both organisations.”
Pure Athletic owner Chris McKinley was delighted to join forces with baseball New Zealand following the huge success of the Tuatara range.
“I love what Regan and the team are doing (with the Tuatara) and I see the massive potential the sport has and want to be involved with the national body as well,” McKinley said.
The Auckland Tuatara’s striking uniforms have been a big hit with fans and it is hoped the new Baseball New Zealand designs will capture the attention of the baseball public.
Pure Athletic was started 18 months ago to look after the baseball/basketball apparel market and are promising the latest products at great prices and sharp delivery times.
In addition to outfitting the Auckland Tuatara, they have recently signed an agreement to supply the New Zealand Breakers basketball franchise as well.
